Plainly
NapCoach helps with sleep routine decisions. It uses age-based sleep norms and the baby's actual day, but it does not diagnose or replace pediatric care.
What the baseline uses
- Age in weeks, not only rounded months.
- Wake window ranges for that age.
- Expected nap count and typical nap duration.
- A morning wake-up and a bedtime anchor.
What the app adds
Current status
Whether the baby is awake or asleep and how long the current state has lasted.
Recent history
Last 24 hours, weekly rhythm, short naps, and missed windows.
Shared family context
Both parents work from the same sleep history instead of repeating context.
Practical boundaries
Routine advice stays practical; medical questions are referred to a pediatrician.
What NapCoach does not do
- It does not make diagnoses.
- It does not promise that one schedule fits every baby.
- It does not replace safe sleep guidance or pediatric advice.
- It does not turn age-based ranges into rigid rules.
